Birth Control and Contraceptive Services

Birth control has been available to women for many decades. In fact, it has been around for centuries. However, the techniques used for contraception are groundbreaking. Prevention in pregnancy has become a lot more effective in recent years, thanks to the advent of many new contraceptives.

When you need help with birth control and contraceptive services, our passionate, and caring medical staff is prepared to assist you. Our family planning and health care services include the following types of contraceptives to help prevent pregnancies:

Contraceptives:

Depo Provera Injection (Medroxyprogesterone): This popular contraceptive helps prevent ovulation by suppressing a woman’s ovaries from releasing an egg. Depo-Provera is administered as a needle injection once every 3 months. The contraceptive contains the hormone known as progestin.

Approximately, 3 out of 100 women who use this type of birth control are more likely to become pregnant. Like with any medication or treatment, there are a few side effects. Common side effects include: Mild Lower Abdominal Pain and Breast soreness.

Warning: If you experience any of the following symptoms, while taking Depo Provera, make sure you consult with your doctor. These symptoms include: Mild Bleeding and Allergic Reaction.

Oral Contraceptives Pills
